Weekly Reading: January 12-18, 2015 – Finding the Treasure Within

Protecting Treasure

Protecting Treasure popped out of the deck right as I began to shuffle with an important message to carry us through the week. Spirit wants to remind us that we are always protected and cared for and that even though we may feel unstable or scared as we move forward, we are in fact safe and loved. Trust that what we have worked hard to build remains safely tucked away and that this is a great time to strengthen bonds with those we love. The rain may fall but we are always sheltered, and if we allow ourselves to be open to it, the rainbow can brighten our day. We are never really alone.

Weekly Reading: December 29, 2014-January 4, 2015: Open Your Heart to the New Year

Master

We’ve had a few consecutive great spreads for the end of the year. Last week we focused on clearing space and letting go of clutter on all levels – mental, physical, and emotional and now this week, our guides are asking us to take it one step further. When we go within to let go of our deepest and darkest fears, we create space that allows us to undertake huge transformations. The Master card asks us to do just that. Fear holds our heart hostage and binds it to limitations that hold us back from expressing our Essence. Take some time before we pass into the new year to identify the fears that restrict you, and then release them in a small ceremony of some sort. If it feels good, follow that up by creating a set of intentions that you’d like to bring in to your open and liberated heart. As we allow our capacity for love to grow, we are able to enter more fully into expansive relationships and situations that no longer constrict us and instead push us to reach for even greater heights.

Weekly Card Reading: December 15-21, 2014 – Creative Expression Leads to Expansion

The Chariot

It is time to head out into the world and put ourselves to the test. The Chariot card shows us that the work that we’ve done to date can and will lead to success, though the road may seem difficult at times. This card should come to calm the nerves of some of you that have experienced what felt like major setbacks recently. We are having to manage a lot right now – people need to be pleased, priorities need to be juggled, and we will most likely need to do it all while still taking care of a hundred other considerations. Despite the fact that we have so much going on, though, success is pretty much assured with this card. Polarities come together to be balanced, and faith will help us fly. Archangel Metatron and his cube, the merkabah, or Chariot of God, which is pictured on the side of the chariot, can help us to manifest our dreams. Chances are that we will receive recognition for our work at this time. This may be difficult for some of you who may shy from the limelight, so if this is the case, take some time to sift through any fears around success you may have so that they may be released. Remember that for this trip, you won’t want to carry any baggage. Read more here, at www.janetraftis.com.

Weekly Card Reading: December 8-14, 2014 – Identifying Your Essence

I am in the process of migrating to a new site so I will link this to it. I will do this over the next few weeks, and I would love it if you would join me over there. Thank you so much for always taking the time to share in these readings with me!

1 - Unity

The faeries want us to know that this is a week for reflection and introspection. We begin with one of the Singer cards – Unity. The Singers are the angels and when one of these cards pops up in a reading, we are asked to acknowledge their presence in our lives and to give thanks for their support and guidance. They are always with us, and when we actively engage with them our lives can be enriched immeasurably. The Unity card reminds us that All is One. We are connected to one another and to Spirit in an interweaving and interrelated web – unified in a holistic and marvelous Universe. Read more at www.janetraftis.com.

Weekly Card Reading: December 1-7, 2014 – Express Your Inner God(dess)!

I am in the process of migrating to a new site so I will link this to it. I will do this over the next few weeks, and I would love it if you would join me over there. Thank you so much for always taking the time to share in these readings with me!

Aphrodite

This week is all about caring for ourselves inside out. Aphrodite shows us that we are at our best when we allow our inner goddess to shine brightly. This is a time to explore our beauty and to call it forth to be expressed outwardly in the world. Let your masculine energy be tempered and balanced right now through the expression of all that is feminine. Dance, sing, wear clothes that feel beautiful and sensual on your body. This goddess shows us that unabashed sexual expression is healthy when it is fully claimed and honored by us. Read more at www.janetraftis.com.

Weekly Reading: November 24-30, 2014 – Springing to Life

Coming to Life

We have a beautiful week ahead as we bring our dreams out of the incubation stage and into life. We begin with Coming to Life. This card shows up to reveal that we’ve done some work over the recent months, shed some old skin, and we are now able to bring the fruits of that growth out into the world. We hold the light of our labors up high and allow it to shine as we delicately dance with it. The butterfly shows the metamorphosis that has taken place as we emerge from our own personal cocoon. I feel like the shining light serves to guide us as well. If we allow it to show the way, and have full faith in the power of Spirit to lead us, our transformation becomes more powerful and more able to unfold. Have confidence in the signs that you get and the wisdom that you receive. It’s not necessary to look for solutions and answers right now; it is a time for us to turn within and trust the signals that we sense within us.

Gentle Gardener

This theme is continued in the Gentle Gardener card. The Wise Women cares for and watches over her children as they come to life, yet she is in a state of full trust. Her eyes are closed and the love and faith that she feels radiates out from within her. We are truly coming to life and it is echoed in this second card. In both of the first two cards we are emerging and both are a calling to trust in Spirit. We have already planted the seeds for our future; we have created visions of our goals and dreams and planted them in the field of possibility, and now it is time for us to trust that our dreams, our selves, our essences know how to do the rest. This card is truly a calling for us to be conscious co-creators, working with Spirit to manifest our desires and to grown into a more expansive version of ourselves. The possibilities are limitless if we truly believe in the infinite potential of Spirit. In this card, we are getting our wings, and although we may not be flying yet, we are about to!

Peaks of Joy

This week we can truly experience Peaks of Joy. We are undergoing great growth and we feel more connected to the Divine than ever. We have done tremendous healing and have faced many fears head on. We have turned within and trusted. Now, if we give ourselves permission to, we can take some time to fully savor that. Allow yourself to feel the exhilaration of what has unfolded, and give yourself permission to express joy in whatever way feels best for you. We’ve been serious and focused lately, and it’s had its place in our development, but one of the best ways to witness the unfolding of our visions is through the childlike and joyous expression of our most inner self. Be open, be free, laugh, love, lead with your heart and you will be able to fly higher and further than ever before.

Weekly Card Reading: November 17-23, 2014 – Expansion

The Serpent

We start this week with the energy of The Serpent, which reveals to us the power of knowledge and healing. Everything we’ve been going through has been so that we may grow, stretch and move into a more expansive skin. Trust in this process, as the serpent shows us that all is exactly as it should be and that when we allow ourselves to unfold, the new skin that is revealed is fresher, more vibrant and capable of much more than ever before. This is also a period of gathering information. Snake wants us to know that growth is not just about healing, but also about expanding our intellect and knowledge base. Research and follow through on activities related to the expansion of your soul purpose, and then allow for yourself to breathe into this new space.

The Wind Faery

This message is echoed by The Wind Faery. This is a period for using our intellects, and in doing so, to also be aware of the thoughts that are emanating from us. All thoughts and ideas, if repeated enough, will manifest in the physical realm. What are you focusing on? Are you feeling anxious and worried, or are you creating a vision that allows for you to manifest that which you truly desire? Cultivating our intellect and tending to our knowledge base can be powerful steps along our journey as they set intentions in motion and create the action that can move them into being. When we can double that up with thoughts of excitement and gratitude around our projects, we create a formidable wave of energy with the power to make magic for ourselves. The only caveat is that we remain free from the dogmatic confines of the mind – allow thoughts and ideas to flow through you and to stay in motion to enhance the potential for a positive change to be revealed.

Protection

We wrap up this spread with the Protection card. As we are in a period of growth and are most likely in the process of shedding and raising our vibration, we may also be more sensitive to others and the environment. Pay special attention to how things are affecting you and the energy of those around you. Be discerning and if something feels off to you, trust your intuition to lead you down the right path. It may be prudent to check the motives of those around you – not from a place of paranoia, but rather as a method of ascertaining whether or not a situation or relationship is for the highest good of all involved. It’s also helpful to ask for extra protection from your angels and guides at this time. Our guardians are able to wrap their energetic embrace around us in any moment and are always open to the opportunity to support us.

Weekly Card Reading: November 10-16, 2014 – Be Curious and Inspired

The faeries couldn’t be any more clear this week and I get the feeling that they are tired of us messing around. The message – loud and clear – is that we are to stop puttering around and get to work on some of these crazy amazing ideas that we’ve sort of pushed down and set aside. And while they recognize that not all of us have been resting on our laurels, all of us DO have something that needs to be brought to the surface, nurtured, and birthed. If you have been in the process of doing so already, continue reading because it would seem that you have more to look at and more to accomplish. You have done good work, but you are not done yet.

41 - Ilbe the Retriever

We start with Ilbe the Retriever. This cute little guy is the guardian of our hopes, dreams, and lost items (call on him to help you find whatever it was you set down this morning that seemed to just disappear). Under the category of lost items are the desires that we’ve set aside or laid to rest while we were off in the pursuit of something else. He’s pretty sure that the time is right for us right now if we’d just get on with it already! Meditate with him in order for your next step to be revealed. Even if you feel like you’ve already got things laid out, he can help you find the missing pieces that can get things moving a little more quickly and freely. There is a path to liberation, and he is more than happy to sniff it out for you.

28 - Penelope Dreamweaver

Our next card is Penelope Dreamweaver. She is one of the Faeries of Inspiration, and what better follow-up could there be to Ilbe’s message than that? She understands that sometimes inspiration is subtle and hidden, and she encourages us to seek it out and to be open to it popping up in even the most unlikely places. She allows for us to move through our blocks and into a free flow of inspiration and expression by showing us that sometimes  we need to break away from the humdrum world and retreat into a space of imagination and daydreaming. Connect into your childlike self and see the world through new eyes. Shifting our energy in new ways can create new and exciting results and release the worn out patterns that were holding us back.

29 - Ta'Om the Poet

Finally, we have Ta’Om the Poet. This guy also helps us to find our creative expression and he does so through prompting us to use curiosity to look into nooks and crannies that we’ve neglected to notice before. When we bound out into the world with open eyes and an open heart, we invite new and exciting experiences that we can then share with others. This opens the door to laughter, play, increased sensual/sexual energy and wonder. Ta’Om’s wings are not yet unfurled, and he reminds us to spread ours and fly. Connect into any blocks that are holding you back, use the curiosity that he and Penelope would have us develop, and find where energy can be released in order to align you with your highest good. We best serve ourselves by showing our true light, one that only continues to shine as we continue to honor it.

Weekly Card Reading: November 3-9, 2014 – Make a Wish!

The Star

Happy times! We begin this week with The Star card – what a beautiful omen! We have put in a lot of hard work and now we are being reassured that we are on the right path. We are being guided by the North Star and it’s time to settle in and make long term plans. This doesn’t necessarily mean that there won’t be any more healing or clearing to do, but it does bode well in that we’ve gotten to a space in which we can now perceive that abundance (in all ways) is close at hand. Faith and trust are your key words right now. Archangel Jophiel is holding two urns and she is allowing the water from them to flow freely into the stream below, which represents Universal Consciousness or Spirit. She is calm and at peace, knowing that her supply is forever renewed. When we can sit in this faith, all of our desires can manifest. This is a card of hope, but hope grounded in positive and attainable goals and vision along with action.

The Hermit

The Star is one of the “wish” cards in the deck, and this leads us nicely into the next card for the week, The Hermit. We’ve cleared our path, so to speak, of the major debris that was blocking us. We’ve climbed the mountain and we have a lantern lighting our way. We can wish upon a star, but our wish will take root more fully and solidly if we take some time to reflect upon what it is we truly desire. We have shifted and changed a lot over the last several months or more, and our dreams and wants have most likely changed accordingly. Clarity, as signified by the shining light, allows for the path to light itself. Our path of self-discovery is still unfolding, and it may even be helpful for some of us to find a mentor at this time to aid us at this stage. This same message came through just a few weeks ago, so if you’ve been considering this, but have yet to move forward, consider this more than just a gentle nudge! If you have, continue to dig in with your teacher and allow for your light of knowledge and understanding to grow brighter. There are fireflies flying around the lantern itself, indicating that your inner light is glowing strongly at this time.

Four of Fire

We have an ultimate outcome card for this reading, and one that confirms the message of The Star. The Four of Fire is a beautiful card, one that assures abundance, again, in all ways. The four posts indicate stability and the glowing flame within always reminds me of a happy hearth. This card assures comfort and safety at home along with financial prosperity. Whatever project or goal you’ve been working on may see its way to completion soon.

Also of note is that all three of these cards have a significant emphasis on the cosmos and a glowing light. We are being shown that we are wrapped in Spirit’s embrace and that the Universe cares for and provides for us. The Four of Fire is another one of the few wish cards in the deck; know and trust that your wishes are heard and that when you maintain faith and positive focus, they are always answered.

This week’s reading is from The Angel Tarot by Doreen Virtue and Radleigh Valentine.
