Weekly Card Reading: September 1-7, 2014 – Spiritual Fortitude Creates Positive Change

Deception & Envy

We begin this week with a forewarning to exercise caution and care as we move forward. The Deception & Envy card carries a few meanings that may pertain to you, but the root issue is the same: it’s time to take off the mask that has been clouding your vision around an issue and look it squarely in the face. Things are definitely not as they seem, whether it’s because someone else is deceiving you or because a situation has turned bad, and somewhere inside of you, you know this to be true. Oftentimes, we allow our desires and our sense of goodwill to cloud our perception of a person or situation. This card is pushing you to get real with respect to it. Trust your inner knowing, remove the blinders, and revise your action plan. In order to get your desired outcome, it is necessary to be open, honest, and bold with respect to yourself and others.

Spiritual Strength

Trust that you are more than ready to move forward! The Spiritual Strength card comes through to show you that you have earned and garnered the tools and the fortitude necessary to move forward powerfully along your path. Know that as you let go of one thing, you make room for another. If you manage to do that with consciousness and love, then what you create space for will show up in beautiful and moving ways.  You have been through a lot on this journey, and through it all you have created stability, strength, wisdom, and fortitude. Keep up the good work, and know that although you may not have been expecting this change in plans or to release something important from your life, you have all you need to not just get through this time, but to thrive.

Triumphant Success

And indeed, victory can be yours! Triumphant Success is the reassurance card that if you take the necessary steps to look at what is really going on and adjust accordingly, situations that have been feelings stuck or not healthy will begin to move forward quickly and successfully. This card bodes well for new beginnings and dramatic changes in how your life looks if you are willing to cut through the barriers that hold you back. Remember that it is a double-edged sword, though, so in all of your actions, regardless of what they are, be judicious, compassionate, and clear. Regardless of the whats or whys of a situation, it is good practice to live and act with the honor and spirit of a true knight.

Weekly Card Reading: August 25-31, 2014 – Big Choices Create Big Changes

Making a Choice

This week starts with Making a Choice, and this is big stuff here. There’s something you’ve been mulling over and now it’s time to move ahead. You’ve reached the fork in the road and the only thing holding you back is yourself. This week’s reading really highlights trust, and we see it first through the lens of this card. Go within, ask for guidance, and have faith that the answer will come. This choice feels like soul purpose stuff – know that if you access the guidance within you and honor the response that comes from your heart center, you cannot go wrong. If it feels like too much to dive right in, or you still feel like you’re uncertain of which road to take, try just taking the next right step. Connect within before and after each step to see how it feels to you and trust in the responses of your body to deliver the truth to you. This does not have to be a major meditation event; just take a moment to feel into the choice – is it expansive and opening, or do you feel constriction around it? Remember that while your mind may try to play tricks on you, your body is not capable of lying.

Strength

With your choice comes Strength. What a beautiful follow-up. You have what it takes to move mountains and not only are you strong enough, but you are also graceful enough! When you are acting in accordance with the Divine, you flow along your journey with ease, and even the most difficult tasks feel light. I feel here too that the message is to trust the direction that you are heading. This gorgeous creature is completely centered and focused – foot, hand, and eyes on the path ahead. She does not waiver and her faith is absolute. We have new growth as well, symbolizing that the path you have chosen is fertile and ready for planting. Truly, the world is your oyster right now.

Gentle Gardener

The cards work so powerfully together this week. The Gentle Gardener confirms the sentiment that it is time to set your intentions and plant your seeds. Spirit is working with you and watching over you to make sure that your dreams are able to sprout and grow. The field of intention is powerful – what you think is what you create, so beware of what you are putting into it. Are your thoughts positive and centered around your highest good? Living in alignment with your soul purpose and allowing the strength of Spirit to fuel you is powerful fodder for your growth. Be sure that you water your intentions with love and affection and not with worry and fear, and remember that not just your thoughts, but also your actions send a message to the Universe. Be conscious to act in accordance with your desires so that your intention remain clear and focused, and then watch it and yourself flourish.

Weekly Card Reading: August 18-24, 2014 – Balance!

The King

We start this week with the powerful energy of The King. This is a time of taking stock of where you are and what needs to be done. Allow the energy of justice, fairness, and authority kick start your week for a little spring cleaning of your affairs. This is a very practical and pragmatic energy that demands that you look at your to-do list. Do you have bills that need to be paid? Are there repairs that require tending to? These debts and reparations can be either in the physical realm or the emotional/energetic. Do you owe someone gratitude or do you need to make amends for a past action that may not have been in alignment with the highest good? Taking care of business, so to speak, grounds you in the physical realm and restores clarity to your life. Once you are able to eliminate the energies of indebtedness and confusion, you are able to channel your vision more powerfully and intentionally.

The Swan

The space created through the proper usage of the king power opens the way for The Swan. This is a beautiful card that heralds the further opening of your intuition and a transformation that can create empowered and lasting change. The focus here needs to be on trust. Having faith in yourself and your gifts and allowing yourself to utilize them for your betterment creates a shift that can take you to greater depths of understanding. Honor this change in you, and know that although you may not even recognize who you now are (yes, the shift can be this profound), your soul has been yearning for this and that you are now answering this call. With trust in yourself, focus on continued alignment with your purpose through the art of listening to Spirit and cultivating the love in your heart.

The Deer

We blend the energies of the king and the swan at the end of the week through The Deer. Deer comes to tell you that you are about to embark on a new journey. She stands at the edge of the woods and she beckons you to join her. Know that the next step for your transformation comes through the acknowledgement that it is time to move forward in your new shoes so that you may be more expansive and integrate even more along your spiritual journey. The deer is intuitive and gentle but don’t let these soft energies fool you. She is powerful in her purpose and sure of her footing. Like the king, she encourages diplomacy, but one that is tempered with a feminine charge. Allow for the robustness of the king to open your week, but balance the pragmatism of the male energy with the nurturing and gentleness of the swan and the deer for optimum results. In all things, balance.

Weekly Card Reading: August 11-17, 2014 – Trust Yourself!

Page of Water

We start our week with a heightened sense of intuition. The Page of Water shows us that this is a time to trust yourself above all others, even those that have your best interest at heart. If you are feeling lost or confused, rather than looking outward for answers, take the time for inner reflection. Ask your heart what feels best and trust the sensations that you get. Does it feel open and expansive or is it constrictive? This may be an emotional start of the week for you as well, and we’ll be coming off of a super moon, so be aware that feelings and emotions that have lain dormant may be coming to the surface. This card is also indicative of relationships reaching a new level. This can be with another or it can be a deepening of the relationship we have with ourselves. I feel this to be true for most of us – connecting inward and trusting our intuition will open many new doors of understanding.

The Dreamer

Mid-week, The Dreamer comes through to tell us to go for it. This is the leap of faith card. You’ve taken the time to connect within and perhaps you’ve heard your heart’s whisper. Now may be the time to honor that call. What are your dreams and what have you been doing to achieve them? This card also shows unexpected opportunities come your way as you open in trust to all the Spirit desires for you. This is a magical card and magic is all around you right now. If you do feel that it is time to move forward, be sure to plan your exit. A leap of faith is a powerful expression of trust, but it is also prudent to be sure that you have your affairs in order so that you can alleviate any potential stress that may block you.

Eight of Earth

Part of the preparation for the leap is validated by the Eight of Earth card. There may be more that you need to learn before you jump right in. Take some time to research and to talk to others that may have experience in the area of your interest. It may require going back to school, and if you have been considering that option, this is confirmation for you to move forward. For many of you, formal schooling won’t be necessary, though cracking a few books and also delving into some hands on learning would be beneficial.

Weekly Card Reading: August 4-10, 2010 – Stay Present, Empowered, and Patient!

Memories of Love

The past will play a vital role for you in the week ahead.  The Memories of Love card shows us that we may be experiencing a sense of nostalgia as we head into the new week, and what we do with that us is up to us. What do these memories mean to us? Do they bring up memories and images of love and sweetness, or do we find that we may be feeling a sense of anger or loss? It is time to balance our emotions, and to examine what we need to do to be able to be in the present more empowered by the effects of the past than burdened by them. Remembrance can provide us with powerful insight into our current motivations: Do you choose to suffer or do you opt for gratitude and love? Find the light in the situation, and choose to keep that ignited while letting go of the aspects that no longer serve you.

Solar Plexus Chakra

The Solar Plexus Chakra is our energetic center responsible for our sense of power and will, and how we express those characteristics out in the physical world. How are you showing up for your life? Are you feeling confident and empowered? Or are you struggling to move forward? If you find yourself doubting your achievements and abilities, take some time to engage in activities that can help to strengthen this center. You may want to try a martial arts class or yoga, and a breathing meditation can help you to drop into the solar plexus so that you may feel more connected to your body and emotions. A weakened solar plexus can leave you feeling drained and lacking in vitality and you may have trouble trusting your gut feelings. When this area is compromised, it is difficult to feel success and move forward with your dreams.

The Waiting Game

It is important that we feel strength in our core center and that we not get bogged down with the past so that we can stay focused on the positive right now. We have been planting a lot of seeds and we may think that it is time to start harvesting them. In many ways, we are ready! Only sometimes our timing isn’t necessarily divine timing. We may find that we feel as though all the hard work we’ve been putting in is not paying off. This is a time to trust! The Waiting Game illustrates that we may feel like we are pacing in circles, and we may be tempted to slide into a space of fear (especially if our energy system is weak), but fear will only pull us into a lower vibration that will cause us to begin manifesting what we don’t want. Stay focused, grounded, and in faith. The seeds are close to sprouting and we have to trust that the Divine sees the big picture.
