This is a week of change for us, and we will need to go into it prepared. It seems that we have been allowing our emotions to run the show. The Water Faery comes to remind us that we are not our feelings. It’s easy to get caught up in the drama of our emotions, but if we can step outside of ourselves and know and trust that we are merely the one experiencing the feelings, then we can exact positive change with respect to our lives. If we allow them to flow, feelings can serves as a guide for us. Notice what you are feeling and honor it. Acknowledge it and thank it for showing you an aspect of yourself that needed to be revealed. We can then allow the energy of the Water Faery to wash away that which no longer serves us, and from there, we can create a new direction of flow for ourselves, one that better serves our highest good.
We will need a sense of structure this week as well to balance out the feminine energy of our emotions. The King comes in this spread to tell us that we need to get our affairs in order. It’s time to take a fine-toothed comb to our finances and anything else that may be outstanding. What bills need to be paid? Do you need to settle affairs with someone or make an amends? Perhaps you need to bring structure into your life in some way. It’s time to create a solid foundation for ourselves. The realm of water has served us in many ways, but positive and constructive change is best achieved when we are also able to prepare for it through concrete action steps.
The Disruption card was the last pulled but I sense that it could come at any point during the week. Remember that the energies of the Water Faery and the King can help you to weather any storm by being at once fluid and solid. The water in this card flows over the solid foundation of stone, providing us with a visual reiteration of our message for this week. Accept your emotions with detachment and allow them to serve as your guide while simultaneously creating a strong foundation so that you can meet any disruption with a sense of security, safety and confidence. While any disruption can feel frightening, remember that the only constant is change. When we embrace it, we are able to glean the gifts of opportunity that it brings. Sometimes the break-up of a relationship can bring a brighter light into your world and the loss of a business partner may bring personal and professional opportunities that you never dreamed of. We may not see the silver lining immediately, but when we trust that Spirit will reveal it to us in perfect Divine timing, we can experience great growth and transformation.
This week’s reading is from The Wisdom of Avalon oracle cards by Colette Baron-Reid.
