Weekly Card Reading: November 17-23, 2014 – Expansion

The Serpent

We start this week with the energy of The Serpent, which reveals to us the power of knowledge and healing. Everything we’ve been going through has been so that we may grow, stretch and move into a more expansive skin. Trust in this process, as the serpent shows us that all is exactly as it should be and that when we allow ourselves to unfold, the new skin that is revealed is fresher, more vibrant and capable of much more than ever before. This is also a period of gathering information. Snake wants us to know that growth is not just about healing, but also about expanding our intellect and knowledge base. Research and follow through on activities related to the expansion of your soul purpose, and then allow for yourself to breathe into this new space.

The Wind Faery

This message is echoed by The Wind Faery. This is a period for using our intellects, and in doing so, to also be aware of the thoughts that are emanating from us. All thoughts and ideas, if repeated enough, will manifest in the physical realm. What are you focusing on? Are you feeling anxious and worried, or are you creating a vision that allows for you to manifest that which you truly desire? Cultivating our intellect and tending to our knowledge base can be powerful steps along our journey as they set intentions in motion and create the action that can move them into being. When we can double that up with thoughts of excitement and gratitude around our projects, we create a formidable wave of energy with the power to make magic for ourselves. The only caveat is that we remain free from the dogmatic confines of the mind – allow thoughts and ideas to flow through you and to stay in motion to enhance the potential for a positive change to be revealed.

Protection

We wrap up this spread with the Protection card. As we are in a period of growth and are most likely in the process of shedding and raising our vibration, we may also be more sensitive to others and the environment. Pay special attention to how things are affecting you and the energy of those around you. Be discerning and if something feels off to you, trust your intuition to lead you down the right path. It may be prudent to check the motives of those around you – not from a place of paranoia, but rather as a method of ascertaining whether or not a situation or relationship is for the highest good of all involved. It’s also helpful to ask for extra protection from your angels and guides at this time. Our guardians are able to wrap their energetic embrace around us in any moment and are always open to the opportunity to support us.

Weekly Card Reading: November 10-16, 2014 – Be Curious and Inspired

The faeries couldn’t be any more clear this week and I get the feeling that they are tired of us messing around. The message – loud and clear – is that we are to stop puttering around and get to work on some of these crazy amazing ideas that we’ve sort of pushed down and set aside. And while they recognize that not all of us have been resting on our laurels, all of us DO have something that needs to be brought to the surface, nurtured, and birthed. If you have been in the process of doing so already, continue reading because it would seem that you have more to look at and more to accomplish. You have done good work, but you are not done yet.

41 - Ilbe the Retriever

We start with Ilbe the Retriever. This cute little guy is the guardian of our hopes, dreams, and lost items (call on him to help you find whatever it was you set down this morning that seemed to just disappear). Under the category of lost items are the desires that we’ve set aside or laid to rest while we were off in the pursuit of something else. He’s pretty sure that the time is right for us right now if we’d just get on with it already! Meditate with him in order for your next step to be revealed. Even if you feel like you’ve already got things laid out, he can help you find the missing pieces that can get things moving a little more quickly and freely. There is a path to liberation, and he is more than happy to sniff it out for you.

28 - Penelope Dreamweaver

Our next card is Penelope Dreamweaver. She is one of the Faeries of Inspiration, and what better follow-up could there be to Ilbe’s message than that? She understands that sometimes inspiration is subtle and hidden, and she encourages us to seek it out and to be open to it popping up in even the most unlikely places. She allows for us to move through our blocks and into a free flow of inspiration and expression by showing us that sometimes  we need to break away from the humdrum world and retreat into a space of imagination and daydreaming. Connect into your childlike self and see the world through new eyes. Shifting our energy in new ways can create new and exciting results and release the worn out patterns that were holding us back.

29 - Ta'Om the Poet

Finally, we have Ta’Om the Poet. This guy also helps us to find our creative expression and he does so through prompting us to use curiosity to look into nooks and crannies that we’ve neglected to notice before. When we bound out into the world with open eyes and an open heart, we invite new and exciting experiences that we can then share with others. This opens the door to laughter, play, increased sensual/sexual energy and wonder. Ta’Om’s wings are not yet unfurled, and he reminds us to spread ours and fly. Connect into any blocks that are holding you back, use the curiosity that he and Penelope would have us develop, and find where energy can be released in order to align you with your highest good. We best serve ourselves by showing our true light, one that only continues to shine as we continue to honor it.

Weekly Card Reading: November 3-9, 2014 – Make a Wish!

The Star

Happy times! We begin this week with The Star card – what a beautiful omen! We have put in a lot of hard work and now we are being reassured that we are on the right path. We are being guided by the North Star and it’s time to settle in and make long term plans. This doesn’t necessarily mean that there won’t be any more healing or clearing to do, but it does bode well in that we’ve gotten to a space in which we can now perceive that abundance (in all ways) is close at hand. Faith and trust are your key words right now. Archangel Jophiel is holding two urns and she is allowing the water from them to flow freely into the stream below, which represents Universal Consciousness or Spirit. She is calm and at peace, knowing that her supply is forever renewed. When we can sit in this faith, all of our desires can manifest. This is a card of hope, but hope grounded in positive and attainable goals and vision along with action.

The Hermit

The Star is one of the “wish” cards in the deck, and this leads us nicely into the next card for the week, The Hermit. We’ve cleared our path, so to speak, of the major debris that was blocking us. We’ve climbed the mountain and we have a lantern lighting our way. We can wish upon a star, but our wish will take root more fully and solidly if we take some time to reflect upon what it is we truly desire. We have shifted and changed a lot over the last several months or more, and our dreams and wants have most likely changed accordingly. Clarity, as signified by the shining light, allows for the path to light itself. Our path of self-discovery is still unfolding, and it may even be helpful for some of us to find a mentor at this time to aid us at this stage. This same message came through just a few weeks ago, so if you’ve been considering this, but have yet to move forward, consider this more than just a gentle nudge! If you have, continue to dig in with your teacher and allow for your light of knowledge and understanding to grow brighter. There are fireflies flying around the lantern itself, indicating that your inner light is glowing strongly at this time.

Four of Fire

We have an ultimate outcome card for this reading, and one that confirms the message of The Star. The Four of Fire is a beautiful card, one that assures abundance, again, in all ways. The four posts indicate stability and the glowing flame within always reminds me of a happy hearth. This card assures comfort and safety at home along with financial prosperity. Whatever project or goal you’ve been working on may see its way to completion soon.

Also of note is that all three of these cards have a significant emphasis on the cosmos and a glowing light. We are being shown that we are wrapped in Spirit’s embrace and that the Universe cares for and provides for us. The Four of Fire is another one of the few wish cards in the deck; know and trust that your wishes are heard and that when you maintain faith and positive focus, they are always answered.

Weekly Card Reading: October 27-November 7, 2014 – Prepare for Change

The Water Faery

This is a week of change for us, and we will need to go into it prepared. It seems that we have been allowing our emotions to run the show. The Water Faery comes to remind us that we are not our feelings. It’s easy to get caught up in the drama of our emotions, but if we can step outside of ourselves and know and trust that we are merely the one experiencing the feelings, then we can exact positive change with respect to our lives. If we allow them to flow, feelings can serves as a guide for us. Notice what you are feeling and honor it. Acknowledge it and thank it for showing you an aspect of yourself that needed to be revealed. We can then allow the energy of the Water Faery to wash away that which no longer serves us, and from there, we can create a new direction of flow for ourselves, one that better serves our highest good.

The King

We will need a sense of structure this week as well to balance out the feminine energy of our emotions. The King comes in this spread to tell us that we need to get our affairs in order. It’s time to take a fine-toothed comb to our finances and anything else that may be outstanding. What bills need to be paid? Do you need to settle affairs with someone or make an amends? Perhaps you need to bring structure into your life in some way. It’s time to create a solid foundation for ourselves. The realm of water has served us in many ways, but positive and constructive change is best achieved when we are also able to prepare for it through concrete action steps.

Disruption

The Disruption card was the last pulled but I sense that it could come at any point during the week. Remember that the energies of the Water Faery and the King can help you to weather any storm by being at once fluid and solid. The water in this card flows over the solid foundation of stone, providing us with a visual reiteration of our message for this week. Accept your emotions with detachment and allow them to serve as your guide while simultaneously creating a strong foundation so that you can meet any disruption with a sense of security, safety and confidence. While any disruption can feel frightening, remember that the only constant is change. When we embrace it, we are able to glean the gifts of opportunity that it brings. Sometimes the break-up of a relationship can bring a brighter light into your world and the loss of a business partner may bring personal and professional opportunities that you never dreamed of.  We may not see the silver lining immediately, but when we trust that Spirit will reveal it to us in perfect Divine timing, we can experience great growth and transformation.

Weekly Reading: October 20-26, 2014 – Reflection Leads to Self-Discovery & Transformation

Commitment

It’s time to get serious. True Commitment requires that we come into full alignment with our thoughts, our desires and our soul visions; it demands that we recognize that we matter and that we have the right to express our true selves in the world. Commitment may come for you this week in the form of partnership in that you may meet someone special or begin a new working relationship, but regardless of how it manifests on the outside (or whether it even does), commitment begins within. Do you truly feel, down to your bones, that you are worthy of living out your dreams? Do you feel that you deserve the visions you’ve put up on your board? Take time this week to get very clear on yourself – take a personal inventory of your underlying limiting beliefs and fears so that you can address them. Until we get clear on our own worth and until we commit to ourselves, it is difficult for us to share our path with others. One of my favorite quotes from author Meggan Watterson is this: “We are here to marry our own souls.” This resonates strongly with me for this week’s reading. As we commit to ourselves, we are able to powerfully move towards accomplishing anything we desire to express in the world.

Moonlight

The Moonlight card supports us on this journey of self-discovery. Allow yourself to go within and to reflect on your essence. Feel into your heart space and trust the inner wisdom that arrives. As we discover the soft voice of our soul, we are able to tap into our connection to the Divine and our inter-relatedness to it. Spirit speaks to us always, and when we remove ourselves from the loud and busy world and into a space of quiet reflection we are more able to tune into the subtleties of the intuitive mind, to hear its whisper and to share moments of quiet peace with universal consciousness. Take any question you may have into this space with you and then allow for the answer to rise. It may come immediately or it may come to you over the course of several days. Recognize that Spirit speaks to us in many ways and remain open to all possibility.

Magical Map Shifter

As you open to limitless potential, pay special attention to the people that cross your path. The Magical Map Shifter card is the Divine’s way of letting you know that important people are crossing your path this week. Open to the possibility of connection with them. Again, this could be a soul mate connection or partnership, but it also may come through a seemingly random meeting with someone that tells you exactly what you need to hear in the moment.  The people that come your way right now are potential agents of transformation for you as you become a more highly tuned version of yourself.

Wide Open

The Wide Open card popped out for this reading, and it fits perfectly with the overall message of openness and trust in the Divine and infinite potential for the week. The meaning is infused throughout the significance of each card, and it serves as a foundation for your entire week (and life if you choose). Be open. Trust. Spread your arms and allow yourself to receive the abundance and love that the Universe has to offer you. Spirit supports and provides for you in the exact way that you ask for it. So be aware of what you request and how you ask for it, open yourself to a state of expanded reception and enjoy the gifts that are bestowed upon you.

Weekly Card Reading: October 13-19, 2014 – Illuminate the Heart, Banish Fears, Create with Love

25 - The Faery Godmother

I can’t think of a better energy to start the week with than The Faery Godmother! She comes to us with blessings of abundance, grace and love. As you step into your week, remember to take note of the good that surrounds you and all that comes to you. This gentle presence donned with the crown of stars, flowers and branches brings illumination and resources to you to help light your way. She is the lady of last minute rescues, but you don’t have to wait until you are in hot water to call on her for help! She offers her love and assistance freely and guides you to the most graceful of outcomes.  This week pay special attention to the inflow of love that comes to you in all forms, be it a special gift, the shoulder of a friend in a time of need or the arrival of someone new and special in your life. Love abounds when we keep our eyes open for it – just remember that it flows best when it is given and received. Keep your channels open and when you receive a smile of encouragement from an unexpected source, pass it along to someone else. Open your heart and the Universe will flood it with blessings.

61- G. Hobyah

The Faery Godmother ushers in our week in part because we may need to call upon her as we move forward and face our fears. Most of our fears are not real – they are founded in old patterns and limiting beliefs that we developed as children, and while they may have served us when we were younger, they have now far outstayed their welcome. G. Hobyah warns us that this week we need to be willing to look at these as they arise, as that is truly the only way to move through them. When we can see the truth, we are empowered to create lasting change. Allow the support of The Faery Godmother to shine her light on these so-called goblins in the closet so that we may see them for what they really are and then act accordingly. In some instances, fears are real, and so it is important for us as well to be prepared to take necessary action when this is the case. An important lesson of this card is to learn to discern between the real and imaginary concerns so that we may continue to grow and expand while also caring for ourselves.

22 - The Master Maker

In part, fears are popping up because we have been moving forward with big dreams and ideas. When we get to a point in which we are truly facing in the direction of our life path, our egos like to jump in and give us all sorts of reasons for why we can’t do something. The truth of the matter, though, is that we can. Last week we were given a message to study or apprentice in a field of interest, and that message continues with The Master Maker card. His message is to “Do whatever you do as well as you can.” This is a time to work on mastering your craft and for using your ingenuity and resilience to continue moving forward. We have the strength and tenacity to accomplish our dreams if we can put the naysaying voices of the ego to rest. Joy is one of the keys here – remember to bring your love for the subject to your work and to raise your standards enough to challenge you and spark new insight and innovation. Be careful not to overwhelm yourself, though: our little Master Maker shows us in his tree pose that balance is one of the keys to success.

Weekly Card Reading: October 6-12, 2014 – Assert Your Fiery, Creative Self

You know that thing that you’ve been thinking about? That idea that keeps popping up over and over again that feels really good but that you keep kind of sticking on the back burner? Well, it’s time to take it out and have a really good look at it. This desire, this little thing that keeps whispering in your ear – it wants your attention right now, and it won’t let down until you address it.

Eight of Earth

The Eight of Earth comes through first in this reading to let us know that there may be some sort of education that needs to occur in order to breathe life into this idea. For some of us it may require going back to school, but for others it may be as simple as doing some research or seeking out some sort of mentor with whom we can apprentice. This is a passion project and this card reassures us that your skilled work will indeed be rewarded as long as we take the time to do the footwork needed to get it off the ground.

Queen of Fire

And really, the message couldn’t be any clearer. The Queen of Fire is all about putting your beautiful and fiery self out there in the world with confidence and full-knowledge of your power. Connect into your creative talents to bring your desires to life. This extends beyond just the project itself and into how to manifest it. We may need to think outside the box on this one. We need to do our research and we need to follow rules and guidelines, but our greatest triumphs can occur when we allow our intuitive, creative minds to work alongside the logical minds. This is not a time to play small. When we understand our true power and ingenuity, we can use the element of fire to transform and birth our wildest dreams.

The Knight of Earth

The Knight of Earth rounds out the message for us: We must buckle down and get things done! It’s time to move through the planning stages and get fully into action. This includes acquiring the education or training needed as well as coming up with a firm action plan that can allow us to take our initial steps. First and foremost, we have a commitment to ourselves to honor our soul voice in the world. When we deny this voice, we feel imbalanced, stunted and less than authentic. Allowing for our dreams to manifest in the world does a great service to everyone as it promotes inspiration, joy and integrity with one’s truth. This card is also the guardian angel card. Know that you are supported on your journey and that your angel is at your side wanting to help you. Ask for guidance and to be shown the next step and then allow for the message to come through. Be open to the many ways in which our angels speak to us and be aware of synchronicity. Magic is all around us when we are open to seeing it.
