Weekly Card Reading: December 8-14, 2014 – Identifying Your Essence

I am in the process of migrating to a new site so I will link this to it. I will do this over the next few weeks, and I would love it if you would join me over there. Thank you so much for always taking the time to share in these readings with me!

1 - Unity

The faeries want us to know that this is a week for reflection and introspection. We begin with one of the Singer cards – Unity. The Singers are the angels and when one of these cards pops up in a reading, we are asked to acknowledge their presence in our lives and to give thanks for their support and guidance. They are always with us, and when we actively engage with them our lives can be enriched immeasurably. The Unity card reminds us that All is One. We are connected to one another and to Spirit in an interweaving and interrelated web – unified in a holistic and marvelous Universe. Read more at www.janetraftis.com.

Weekly Card Reading: November 10-16, 2014 – Be Curious and Inspired

The faeries couldn’t be any more clear this week and I get the feeling that they are tired of us messing around. The message – loud and clear – is that we are to stop puttering around and get to work on some of these crazy amazing ideas that we’ve sort of pushed down and set aside. And while they recognize that not all of us have been resting on our laurels, all of us DO have something that needs to be brought to the surface, nurtured, and birthed. If you have been in the process of doing so already, continue reading because it would seem that you have more to look at and more to accomplish. You have done good work, but you are not done yet.

41 - Ilbe the Retriever

We start with Ilbe the Retriever. This cute little guy is the guardian of our hopes, dreams, and lost items (call on him to help you find whatever it was you set down this morning that seemed to just disappear). Under the category of lost items are the desires that we’ve set aside or laid to rest while we were off in the pursuit of something else. He’s pretty sure that the time is right for us right now if we’d just get on with it already! Meditate with him in order for your next step to be revealed. Even if you feel like you’ve already got things laid out, he can help you find the missing pieces that can get things moving a little more quickly and freely. There is a path to liberation, and he is more than happy to sniff it out for you.

28 - Penelope Dreamweaver

Our next card is Penelope Dreamweaver. She is one of the Faeries of Inspiration, and what better follow-up could there be to Ilbe’s message than that? She understands that sometimes inspiration is subtle and hidden, and she encourages us to seek it out and to be open to it popping up in even the most unlikely places. She allows for us to move through our blocks and into a free flow of inspiration and expression by showing us that sometimes  we need to break away from the humdrum world and retreat into a space of imagination and daydreaming. Connect into your childlike self and see the world through new eyes. Shifting our energy in new ways can create new and exciting results and release the worn out patterns that were holding us back.

29 - Ta'Om the Poet

Finally, we have Ta’Om the Poet. This guy also helps us to find our creative expression and he does so through prompting us to use curiosity to look into nooks and crannies that we’ve neglected to notice before. When we bound out into the world with open eyes and an open heart, we invite new and exciting experiences that we can then share with others. This opens the door to laughter, play, increased sensual/sexual energy and wonder. Ta’Om’s wings are not yet unfurled, and he reminds us to spread ours and fly. Connect into any blocks that are holding you back, use the curiosity that he and Penelope would have us develop, and find where energy can be released in order to align you with your highest good. We best serve ourselves by showing our true light, one that only continues to shine as we continue to honor it.

Weekly Card Reading: October 13-19, 2014 – Illuminate the Heart, Banish Fears, Create with Love

25 - The Faery Godmother

I can’t think of a better energy to start the week with than The Faery Godmother! She comes to us with blessings of abundance, grace and love. As you step into your week, remember to take note of the good that surrounds you and all that comes to you. This gentle presence donned with the crown of stars, flowers and branches brings illumination and resources to you to help light your way. She is the lady of last minute rescues, but you don’t have to wait until you are in hot water to call on her for help! She offers her love and assistance freely and guides you to the most graceful of outcomes.  This week pay special attention to the inflow of love that comes to you in all forms, be it a special gift, the shoulder of a friend in a time of need or the arrival of someone new and special in your life. Love abounds when we keep our eyes open for it – just remember that it flows best when it is given and received. Keep your channels open and when you receive a smile of encouragement from an unexpected source, pass it along to someone else. Open your heart and the Universe will flood it with blessings.

61- G. Hobyah

The Faery Godmother ushers in our week in part because we may need to call upon her as we move forward and face our fears. Most of our fears are not real – they are founded in old patterns and limiting beliefs that we developed as children, and while they may have served us when we were younger, they have now far outstayed their welcome. G. Hobyah warns us that this week we need to be willing to look at these as they arise, as that is truly the only way to move through them. When we can see the truth, we are empowered to create lasting change. Allow the support of The Faery Godmother to shine her light on these so-called goblins in the closet so that we may see them for what they really are and then act accordingly. In some instances, fears are real, and so it is important for us as well to be prepared to take necessary action when this is the case. An important lesson of this card is to learn to discern between the real and imaginary concerns so that we may continue to grow and expand while also caring for ourselves.

22 - The Master Maker

In part, fears are popping up because we have been moving forward with big dreams and ideas. When we get to a point in which we are truly facing in the direction of our life path, our egos like to jump in and give us all sorts of reasons for why we can’t do something. The truth of the matter, though, is that we can. Last week we were given a message to study or apprentice in a field of interest, and that message continues with The Master Maker card. His message is to “Do whatever you do as well as you can.” This is a time to work on mastering your craft and for using your ingenuity and resilience to continue moving forward. We have the strength and tenacity to accomplish our dreams if we can put the naysaying voices of the ego to rest. Joy is one of the keys here – remember to bring your love for the subject to your work and to raise your standards enough to challenge you and spark new insight and innovation. Be careful not to overwhelm yourself, though: our little Master Maker shows us in his tree pose that balance is one of the keys to success.

Weekly Card Reading: September 22-28, 2014 – Kissed by the Pixies

21

We start this week with a reminder that an open heart is a vibrant heart. The Faery Who Was Kissed by the Pixies is a card of unconditional love in all of its forms, whether it be familial, friendly, or romantic. This is a call to enjoy love, sweet love and the faeries ask you to open up to receive it, and then once received to allow it to flow back outward. This is a time of healing so this process of energetic open heart surgery may dig up the need to look at forgiveness and self-love as well. What can you release so that you feel lighter? As you go through this process, you will notice that your relationships feel deeper and that there is a richness developing that may have been unknown to you until now. The bright light that springs forth from your heart will also serve as a beacon to attract more unto  you, and you can be sure that the quality of the love that goes out is what will be pulled back in, so ask yourself: Does the love that pours out of you come from a place of joy? What would it take to love without expectation of something in return? Tapping into that space can shift us to a place of authentic joy and peace.

18

Some of what comes from this heart opening is the letting go of relationships and situations that are not supported by your new sense of expansion. When your heart is opening and attracting more transparent and authentic love, it no longer supports emotions and people that aren’t a match to that. As we grow and open, it can be difficult to release the past, but The Lady of the Harvest comes through to show you that life moves in cycles and that while we often experience feelings of grief and loss at the completion of one, the harvest always brings abundance once we create the space for it. You are supported – the Lady’s breasts are swollen with milk, which serves as a symbol of the flow of nourishment that is able to sustain life while also providing the sustenance and comfort that we deserve and need. Remember that strength in the now comes from disengaging from the limiting patterns, beliefs, and relationships of the past. The process may be painful, but trust it, create awareness around how you feel, and then take the steps necessary to move on.

31

Throughout this unfolding and the week, focus on maintaining balance. Motion is a natural process in life and you are creating a lot of flow through opening your heart and releasing. In some cases, this can create feelings of unpredictability.  The Undressing of a Salad is a card of equilibrium. If you can stay in a place of poise and balance, it doesn’t matter how many balls you have up in the air, you will be able to not only catch them, but play with them as well. Nevertheless, you will most likely still drop a ball every once in a while, as change of direction and heart can create sudden shifts in fortune. Focus even more intently, go with the flow, and remember that you can come out even stronger than before.

Weekly Card Reading: September 8-14, 2014 – Time to Make a Decision

“Enough is enough!” shout the Faeries. They want you to know that you do not have to struggle so much in these earthly matters – the answers lay within if only we will take the time to ask.

Indi

Our first card this week is Indi. This is a message to move forward. Indecision and a lack of commitment towards your ultimate goal are keeping you from attaining your dreams. Life is most likely out of balance right now and it is time to go within, ascertain your true heart’s desire, and then begin to act in accordance with it. It is likely that fear is at the root of your hesitation, so when you do make the time to check in (which our next card shows us is imperative), get curious about your apprehension. When it arises, follow its trail. Where does it lead you? Once you get to the core issue, take a bold step forward and allow for yourself to take a stance for you. Set an intention, create a deadline for it, find someone to whom you can be accountable, and then begin to take consistent and measured steps that are in alignment with your purpose.

The Singers of Intuition

The Singer of Intuition card is all about awareness, perception, and trust. The position of this card in the center of the spread indicates that it illuminates the meaning of the cards surrounding it. Action is important right now, but it’s of even more importance that your action have direction and purpose and the only way to achieve that is to take the time to get really clear with yourself. What are your feelings and hunches around moving forward? What makes your heart skip a beat? All the information you could ever need is available to you through your higher self. Go within, connect, ask. You can check the authenticity of what you get by noticing how it feels in your body. When you reach the Aha! moment, trust that you’ve found it. Remember to be persistent and patient with this process: You deserve it!

The Laume

Our final card is The Laume, and she reminds us that unconditional giving and receiving are indispensable. Whatever it is that you are trying to weave your way through right now can be helped by cultivating a loving and generous heart. If you are feeling stuck in your forward progress, and the answer doesn’t seem to be coming, take a time out to be of service to someone else. This may come in the way of offering a gift of some sort or through volunteering some time or energy to a cause. If you are feeling financially strained, give to another with an open and loving heart so that you may step into the flow of prosperity. If you feel that it’s time you don’t have, make some available to help someone that could benefit from your expertise. It’s important here to understand that prosperity is not just the balance in your savings account, but a general feeling of well-being that invites more love and abundance into your life. Again, following the lead of the Singer of Intuition, go within. What can you give right now? Giving for the pure joy of giving and without the expectation of return will actually send that same energy right back at you. How great is that?
